Rehabilitation Games & Extended Reality (ReGame-XR) Laboratory
Under the new leadership of Dr. Leanne Chukoskie, ReGame-VR has been rebranded to ReGame-XR Lab!
Our lab uses sensor technology as assessments and interventions designed to improve the lives of individuals living with cognitive and motor challenges. We seek to elevate our participants’ experience by creating engaging games for our rehabilitation science research. By engaging in playful mechanics applied to rather serious cognitive tasks and training, we aim to move the field of developmental research forward in its methods, measurements, and interventions.
We understand the value of diversity and embrace it in the work we do. As an example, we lead an interdisciplinary collaboration with the University of California, San Diego, and Ubisoft to provide an 8-week internship for neurodivergent individuals supported by the NSF Future of Work program. Our interns gain professional experience and workplace social skills while making research-based video games in teams
